Step 4: Enter the allowed (blocked web) or blocked (blocked web) sites in the fields below. You can also allow access or blocking to specific parts of the website;

Step 5: (Optional) If you have decided to block any particular domain from the site, list it below. When you are done, click on ‘Ok’;

Step 6: The remaining two-panel windows serve to accept or deny requests to access blocked sites and view supervised user activity. In the first case, mark the item and choose the action on the button. In the second window, select to block or allow visited sites.

In the supervised user history, you can organize access by day, week, or month by clicking the special icon.

WebFilter PC is a software for Windows that allows you to monitor the use of your computer by your children.

For this purpose, it uses a system of explicit lists of keywords that will automatically block access to certain associated websites.

The integrated search engine analyzes for this purpose the data of the pages consulted for a precise result.

25 categories of filtering are also in the game, and you can apply it on applications using the p2 protocol, an email client, or newsgroups.

PRO TIP: A time block of computer use is possible. Be aware that a personalized history is integrated to control the activities of your children on your computer!

Use Web Nanny

Web Nanny software can disable websites on the Internet, according to users.

That means that parents can go anywhere on the Web and that children do not have access to certain types of content.

How does it work?

Web Nanny serves to control young people who want to visit sites for adults. It also protects the smallest against the Web windows that lead to websites for adults.

The program asks who you are.

Depending on the username and password, the software then proceeds to action.

Once, a child tries to navigate forbidden sites, the window will open telling that the content of the site is not allowed.

PRO TIP: As a parent, you can decide what content is allocated or prohibited by theme: pornography, drugs, alcohol, “cats,” etc. You can also choose what sites to block and view browsing history.

How do you set restrictions on Google Chrome?

Google Chrome’s parental controls can be implemented in two ways:

  1. Using standard methods
  2. Using plugins from the Google store.

The usual method involves creating a unique controlled profile in the browser:

  • Just add a new user to the browser;
  • Register an account according to the standard scheme from your profile;
  • To make your account manageable, check the box next to the corresponding item until the end of the profile creation process – this will be the first step in setting up Chrome parental controls.

PRO TIP: Using the menu, you can configure the resolution and access to specific sites. Safe Search is already included there, as well as filters that prevent the child from accessing an inappropriate site for him/her.

Parental control in Google Chrome works in such a way that the search engine will not give out links or pictures to blocked requests, notifying the young user about it.

How to set parental controls on Google Chrome?

You could allow or deny a child access to various sites from their profile if they sent you a request.

It can be useful if any site is blocked by mistake, and in the future, its address is added to the Chrome parental whitelist.

You can allow all sites except those specified in the blacklist, prohibit access to all pages except those specified in the white list.

You can improve the functionality of parental controls in Google Chrome with the help of extensions.
